About Chanèle

Hi, I’m Chanèle, a multiple award-winning senior marketing strategist who is passionate about empowering people through helpful and compelling content.

My fascination with storytelling began at a young age. In fact, I was the first person in my Grade 2 class to read 100 books — my claim to fame! Today, I feel lucky to have crafted a meaningful career around what I’ve always loved. Over the last 10 years, I’ve worked across various industries, from shopping centres to fintech institutions and edtech platforms, to help them tell their story through best-in-class, multi-channel campaigns that include social media, content and influencer marketing and public relations.

My zone of genius is making the complex simple. Taking jargon and complicated subjects and transforming it into compelling content pieces that drive action from target audiences.

I’m also a former writer, public speaker and media expert. For over 6 years, alongside my corporate career, I ran Do Well Dress Well, a platform I founded to provide practical career strategy and style advice. I delivered over 150+ highly-rated keynotes, workshops and panel discussions with organizations across North America such as Royal Bank of Canada, Uber, City of Toronto, Reebok, Bumble and more, in addition to my first TEDx talk in 2018. My expert commentary can be found in outlets such as Fast Company, FLARE, Elle Canada and Refinery29 and I’ve appeared as an on-air career expert on Breakfast Television, CHCH Morning Live, Rogers TV Ottawa and Global's The Morning Show.

I currently serve as a founding advisory board member for Accelerate Her Future and a member of the Professional Advisory Committee for Seneca College’s Public Relations program.

I’m humbled to have been recognized as one of the PR in Canada’s Top 30 Under 30, one of the Top 100 Black Women to Watch and one of the Top 25 Women of Influence. When I’m not working or serving my community, you can typically find me strolling through the aisles of my local bookstore, searching for a new pair of sneakers or chasing after my two children, who inspire everything that I do.

My mission in life is not merely to survive but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humour and some style.
